A bijillion pictures and an update

I thought it was time for a little update on the family and kidlets. Not that it is interesting to anyone, but for documentary purposes.

We got family pictures!! Finally! I was very anxious to get family pictures done and I had an offer from a friend to do Maren's baby pictures when she was born. It took me a year to finally take her up on it. We turned it into family pictures instead and we got a good discount.
Since I was so anxious in getting them done, I made a lot of mistakes in planning. I knew I was taking too many risks. For one, we did them at 5pm. Not a good time for kids! For another, I was worried about getting the fall colors so I picked a weekday instead of a weekend (my friend was booked up for the whole month on weekends). And third, it was cold, Maren had a runny nose, and Kallie had fallen and bonked her nose up really well. Kallie's nose was swollen and bruised. Perfect!

We managed to get a few good ones though:

The only one with most of us looking at the camera.

The only other good one. Yeah, you can see what we up against. We were competing with the ducks too.

Engagement picture? ha ha. Except we have more rolls of fat and wrinkles, and even a few grey hairs!

For an update on the kids:

Brigg
He loves Kindergarten and loves playing with all his friends. One thing about him is that he is so friendly and loves to play with friends. He is always making a new friend. He is learning to read which is fun as well as a lot of work. :) He gets lots of play time since we don't have him in any extra curricular activities. It is kinda nice! I'm enjoying it while I can because I'm sure he will be involved in a lot more activities as he gets older.

Kallie: this next picture says it all. :)

What a silly fireball! She keeps us on our toes. I am still figuring out how to discipline her. She is either fuming mad and screaming her head off (completely out of control sometimes) when we discipline, or she is crying and super emotional. I'm trying to keep my temper and it seems to help. She is growing up so fast and she can also be a sweet angel. I love snuggling with her before bed as we read books.

By the way, she was such a booger at family picture time. She wouldn't smile or stand/sit where we wanted her to go. We caught a smile when she was swinging during a break.

My favorite picture! :)

Maren:

Yet another child we couldn't get to smile! We caught a few though. Poor girl had a red, cold nose.

Maren has developed such a personality!! She is a fireball as well and is very possessive of anything she has or wants. 3rd child syndrome! She is talking more, getting into everything, and finally walking!! She is such a small thing, only 2 percentile for weight and about 10 percentile in height! I can't believe she goes into nursery in 3 months! She seems too little!

I love this little girl so much. She is also such a snuggly baby. She is always coming up to me and giving me hugs and kisses. When I was canning peaches she hugged my legs and gave me a ton of kisses. It was so cute! She brings so much happiness and laughter to my life.
