Dear God,
Today I'm tired of having to answer to "Mooooomm" and "Waaaaaaa". I just don't want to answer to anyone right now. Could I please take a sick or vacation day? Oh, you say that is not part of my benefits. Well, can I get better health insurance? We've been sick with colds here for awhile and it sure makes being a mom harder. No? I don't get that benefit either.... Can I at least get a pay raise? Oh, you say everything I am doing is going towards my retirement package? Well, make sure you remember my overtime. Thanks.
Love, Alicia
AMEN!
ReplyDeleteAlicia,
ReplyDeleteThis is more in response to your comment on my blog. Yes, we should get together soon. I still haven't met your new little one. When you are feeling better give me a call and we'll plan sometime to hang out and let our kids play!

Lovely letter. :)
ReplyDeleteSorry about the illness. Sorry you don't get a break. **sigh** Sorry about the no pay raise.
Motherhood is so tough. I think that's why the women do it. (ha, ha!) It requires a special kind of hardiness, doesn't it?
Cheers and best wishes!!
Don't we all feel like this sometimes? sigh
ReplyDeleteI had the flu last week and poor Wes was as unhappy as I was because I could barely function--couldn't hold him, couldn't play with him. Basically just wanted him to sleep a lot, but he wouldn't and ended up crying a lot. Being a sick mom sucks! I'm holding out for that retirement package.
ReplyDeleteAlicia, You are something else. You remind me of the saying on my wall that says: "Working for the Lord doesn't pay much , but the retiremesnt is out of this world." So enjoy reading about you and yours. Keep it up.
ReplyDeleteLuv, Aunt Ilene Bingham
