I finally got a chance to jot down a few funny things that have happened recently. I figured I'd share a few of them.
* The other night a group of girls from the junior high school basketball team came and caroled at our door. Brigg opened the door, saw the huge group said "Holy Crap!" and slammed the door on them. I heard a lot of the girls laughing as I ran to open the door.
* We were sitting at church (late again so we were in the overflow) and Kallie was making a mess, throwing her crackers around. I kept picking them up and then it would happen again. The last time she did this, she threw them all over the aisle. At this same moment, Brigg sneezed and blood started gushing. He loudly said Mom, I'm bleeding! I threw Maren at Koby, grabbed Brigg and Kallie and took them to the bathroom with me to clean up, then went back into sacrament meeting and cleaned up the floor. During this same hour, Brigg declared his stuffed lizard needed to eat so he was going to feed him. He took his coat, but it over him so people couldn't see, and put his lizard up his shirt. :) I didn't make a big issue of it, but then he said people were looking so he went and sat on daddy's lap and did the same thing. Koby looked at him very oddly, then gasped. I died laughing at Koby's face. I laughed so hard tears were streaming down my face. So much for reverence! At the end of the service, the families behind us and to the side were all very amused and many of them commented that we did a good job entertaining them all. Unfortunately, we get this same comment almost EVERY Sunday.
* This one isn't quite so funny yet... I need more time. All within a few days, I had shampoo all over the carpet courtesy of Kallie, then a bottle of pickles, juice and all by Brigg, then a bottle of expensive cleaner from Kallie and a big bag of beans for a topping that she cut open with a knife. Don't report me to DCFS. There were also a few incidents of Kallie stripping and pooing in her bed, again.
* This one is funny to me: I came home from a baby shower (I had Maren) to a frazzled daddy and a sobbing boy in his room. The story was that when Koby, Brigg and Kallie went to the man store (Home Depot) that Brigg and Kallie were climbing all over the boxes and through the aisles. Koby got Kallie in a cart and Brigg grabbed an expensive light bulb and gave it to Kallie who threw it. Koby paid $7 for some glass. He came home frustrated and sent Brigg to his room, where he made a concoction of sunscreen, lotion and icy hot. When the icy hot was stinging and wouldn't come off with water, Brigg went and told his dad. I came home at this point. There was a lot of tension in the air. :) I laugh cuz this is what I deal with everyday and it was nice to see that I am not the only one who feels at wits end sometimes.
* Another incidence where I came home to find Koby and Grandpa juggling the three kids. Koby was trying to fix something while Grandpa was trying to feed Maren a bottle while Kallie was dumping shampoo all over multiple rooms. I think Brigg might have been up to no good too. Again, makes me feel better that surviving some days is just what anyone else can do as well (two men even. :)
* Brigg has been saying some of the funniest things. He is quite the know-it-all (like his daddy? :) and is constantly telling us how smart he is, that he knows more than me because he goes to preschool. I wish I wrote down some of the things he has said. He makes me laugh out loud many times a week.
Edit: I need to add another that just happened a few hours ago. Kallie was screaming her head off because she was in time out (she is cutting her two year molars and has been a bear today throwing tantrum after tantrum) and Brigg gave me the phone. I said hello and the lady said it was 911 and asked if I needed assistance since someone had called them. It sure sounded like I needed assistance but I said no and then had a serious talk with Brigg. It wasn't really his fault since he just pushed the button on my phone to call emergency services, the only call you can make when my phone is locked (so that my kids won't call anyone!).
Wow, you must be superwoman to handle all that! Thanks for sharing their shenanigans, I needed a laugh today!
