We had a wonderful Christmas and New Years but missed our out of state family. It was a little different this year.
We were spoiled rotten. I had bought different gifts for the kids throughout the year and hid them in different places so when I got them out, I realized I had a lot more than I was originally thinking. I am usually minimal on the gifts for the kids. Oh well, Santa was generous. (I got a lot of the presents new from garage sales. :)
Koby FINALLY got his big screen TV. He has been waiting years and refused to buy one until they reached a certain price. Well the price was this year during the cyber monday sales. He is loving it.
I had fun making some of the presents I gave to family. It was a nice time of year and I was grateful for the spirit of the season and for being able to focus on Christ.
As for New Years, I ended the year with a crack, quite literally. I slipped on some icy snow outside my house on the 30th and broke my arm. What a pain! I went in to have it checked out on New Year's Eve and the only thing I could think of was that I wasn't going to be able to go skiing the next day (which I have been dying to do all winter!) and that yoga would be very difficult. I'm still mad about that. But I was very, very happy to learn that I wouldn't need to have a cast and only need a sling. The doctor said the kind of break I had, on the smaller ulna bone, heals just as well with a sling than a cast. So I have been sporting a sling for the last week but can start to use the sling only when I need to from here on out. It has been an interesting experience nursing a baby with a broken arm but I have been healing fairly fast.
Life is going well. Kids are growing up fast. I'm hanging in there and still battling anxiety stuff but trying to get it all worked out. It doesn't help that Maren has gone on a sleeping rebellion. She was the world's best sleeper and now she wakes up every few hours... worse than a newborn.
Now on to the pictures...
This made me laugh, Brigg was SO excited about the sun glasses he got from preschool Christmas exchange. They are a little femmy..... but I haven't said a word. Kallie dressed herself too.
Grandma Nina made matching BYU jammies this year. They are being brainwashed early. I thought they were SO cute!
And Maren had her first taste of food this past week. I was going to wait until closer to 6 months (she just turned 5 months) but she has been wanting to eat real food. She literally snarfed her little bowl of food. She acts like I starve her even though she has tons of fat rolls all over her body.
I hope you all had a wonderful New Year!
