It is a little past 11:30 PM and I feel obligated to write a post... but nothing comes to mind. I have had potential posts swimming in my mind for the past few days but as soon as I sat down they all vanished. I'm tired. I am waiting for the hubby to come home from work- he is trying to fix a few things before he comes home. I rarely go to bed without him so I am at a loss at what to do with myself. I can't clean the house, that would be stupid. I haven't done much cleaning today yet, so why start? I'm tired of watching the primary election results. I just finished watching PBS's Masterpiece "Jane Austen Regrets". It was kind of lame in my opinion although I forgot to record the begingin and only got the last hour of the movie. I could read the book that I NEED to be reading- Mere Christianity. Fascinating book but a little to heavy for my state of mind right now. Anyhow, so I am rambling to the blogging world.
Here are a few things on my to do list:
1. Plan baby shower for sister that will be taking place this Saturday- this entails planning the food, creating a shopping list, cleaning the house, planning a party game (only one, at most two- I think that will fulfill the mandatory shower game quota), finding a present for my sister/ baby, and washing clothes so that I can be a modestly clothed hostess. This will be the third grandchild born in 7 months.
2. Hang out and watch movies with a dear friend. We don't get to see each other very often so this will be great!
3. Bag the potty training. Kanoba is awesome at peeing in the toilet when I ask him to- not so good with the poo poo part. He refuses. He holds it until I put on a diaper for bedtime then relieves himself. I think we will wait a little longer....I need to get some more education on this subject.
4. Take back my stack of overdue books. :(
5. Blog about one of my favorite things about living where I do.
6. Make a goal to make a goal to get my life in order/ organized!
7. Sleep
8. Get the baby to sleep in the crib.
9. Write another to-do list.
10. Pay the hospital bills- it has been 2 months!
11. Go running
12. Take a shower
I will stop there. My brain is shutting down and I am talking to myself. I will hopefully resurrect some of my ideas and post about something better later! Good night!
I don't like to sleep when my Hubby's gone either. I always stay up and wait for him to return.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a good list. :D I especially like the one about setting a goal to set a goal... Admitting it is half the battle, after all!! :)
I thought Jane Austen Regrets was boring, too. I didn't even finish watching it, which was probably good since I tend to neglect the baby when those Jane Austen flicks are on.
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of glad to hear that the Miss Austen Regrets thing was dumb, because I missed it. I'm sorry that you are talking to yourself...but, I am coming up there next week, so I was wondering if I could come see you and you could talk to me instead! Let me know!
ReplyDeletelet's check off one thing on your list and go running like u suggested. It is warming up but I've been going to the indoor track at BYU. The only bad thing is team practices start at nine so u have to go before then (sometimes hard to get the little ones ready) or go after five which is hard for me to motivate myself in the evenings. Anyways I have a double that technically isn't for running but I love it so far and the best thing is it's really compact, even more compact then my single jogging stroller.
