Well it has been awhile since I actually wrote something,
again. I took a sick leave from blogging. I got a "clogged milk duct" (as declared by the doctor) nasty thing
AGAIN just a week later after the first one. This time I caught a cold at the exact same time. It was MISERABLE but I lived. I am just glad it wasn't the nasty flu like the
one going around. At this same time Koby was injured (most likely some cracked ribs) when he ran into a tree while snowboarding. Then he got my cold. Then Kanoba got the cold although it didn't slow him down one bit. He just had a little cough and runny nose. Pumpkin (I finally decided on a nickname for baby girl for the purpose of this blog) has been congested but seemed to avoid the worst of the cold. Anyhow, it has been a long couple of weeks. Somehow during that time I and my mother and sister managed to pull off a baby shower for my other sister. Good thing we didn't postpone it- she had her baby this last Monday- a little over 3 weeks early! He is a cutie! Anyway, I digress my digressing... it has been a busy few weeks.

Pumpkin had her 2 month appointment a week ago Monday. She is a growing, healthy baby at 12 lbs. 1 oz. and 23 in. long. That puts her around the 76 percentile for both weight and length. She is a bigger baby than Kanoba who was around the 50 percentile in both weight and height. (Is it length or height? Babies don't stand yet...) I am so glad she is doing well despite already having 2 colds. I am glad we have avoided RSV so far...knock on wood. She is such a sweetie and has the cutest smiles. She outright laughed today for the first time.

Kanoba is growing so quickly too. He will have his 3rd birthday in just a few weeks! I can't believe how much he is growing up into a little man. He always says the darndest things and he is ALWAYS into everything. He is extremely independent. I find him helping himself to food in the fridge- he will pull out a meal for himself of cheese, ice cream, yogurt, crackers, and pepperoni (pony-roni) and spread them out on the coffee table and watch PBS cartoons. He is a sweet boy and becoming more sensitive to other's feelings everyday. He is always saying sorry for anything that hurts or upsets me. Sometimes I wish he wouldn't say sorry because I want to be mad at him. :)
I need to finish this post up as it is 12:30 AM. I wanted to end with one of the reasons why I love living where I do. It is because of this:

I love that we have deer that come and eat all the berries off my tree and eat my bushes. Really, I do. I was going to take a picture of all the deer tracks in the snow in my front yard but I didn't get to it and now the snow is melted. I love just looking outside and seeing the hoof prints. I don't so much like the piles of poo droppings. This picture was actually taken outside of Koby's office in the P. river bottoms- he (the deer, not Koby) sat out there all day and occasionally peeked inside to make sure Koby was on task and doing his job. SO AWESOME!!
the deer is so funny! congrats on your award! i'm impressed with your lilly it's beautiful! we have been really sick with that dumb flu at least i think it is both kids have had the runs followed by vomiting, and serious congestion for almost two weeks! it all started the saturday before valentines day, and they both still have mild coughs! good luck keeping that stuff away, i would also like to thank my mother for giving it to my kids!: ) it's funny you think you are safe visiting grandma, but then again she does work with a bunch of kids! oh well! : )
