* On Tuesday we ran Run a Crook out of Town 5K put on by Orem police department. It was fun! I think I really like races- it motivates me to push myself and I like the adrenaline of the race. I'd do races all the time if it didn't cost so much to enter them. I ran the 5K (3.1 miles) at 26:40 minutes. A personal record! I felt really good running it. The first 5K I ran was in 33 somthing minutes. I like seeing improvement. Koby ran it in 23:54 minutes pushing two kids. He made 2nd place in the self proclaimed stroller division. His brother took first for running it in 20:48 pushing two kids. Those guys rock! My sister-in-law and her extended family also all ran the race as well. It is fun running with family.
*A few Saturdays ago, Koby and I ran 10 miles through Lindon and Pleasant Grove. It started pouring buckets of water on us. Lightning and thunder were striking right over our heads. It made for a awesome date night. :)
* I weighed in last night and I have lost 8 pounds since my training started 2 months ago. Wahoo! I don't know where I am losing it though, I still have the baby pooch.
* Koby has this habit of being very silly on our long Saturday runs. He likes to make fun of my running, try and kick little rocks through my moving legs and score a goal, give a commentary of what the dogs around us might be saying ("Duck. Must get duck. Oo, what is that? Do I smell dog pee? Etc.) What a weirdo.
* I believe Koby has lost somewhere between 15-20 lbs since running this year. Wahoo for him too!
*I already need a new pair of shoes. Those are pretty pricey.
* The Hobble Creek Half Marathon is in just over 2 weeks!
* My favorite part of running is the satisfaction of it being over. It feels good.
Way to go! I am impressed by your stick-to-it-ive-ness. So much so that I had to invent that word.
