Yesterday, March 2nd, was Brigg's 6th birthday (as well as Dr. Seuss- but he is a little older than 6). Brigg had been looking forward to his 6th birthday for a long time. For his birthday I slept in (Maren also slept in and has been very sick recently so I slept in too) so Brigg got to watch cartoons. I started making pancakes and Grandpa Soren and Grandma Nina stopped by. They were in town for the weekend and were on their way out but wanted to stop and say Happy Birthday before they left. We were all looking fabulous in our jammies. Brigg got a whole dollar bill (actually 20 but I laughed because he called it that)! He opened up his presents from the family while Grandpa and Grandma were there. He had asked for a Bionicle (what's new?) but Koby suggested some nerf guns so he got 2 guns and a bunch of bullets. He has been having so much fun since and we have nerf bullets in every nook and cranny, on our ceiling fans and TV. Thanks daddy! :)

Brigg went to school and I took Hostess Ding Dongs for his class birthday treat. I did carpool and then the family left immediately for The Living Planet Aquarium. He has wanted to go forever! I told him we could do that as a family party or he could have a friend party. Last year was supposed to be the family party but he begged me for a friend party at the last minute so I had to throw one together. I expected that to happen again this year and I even had a super cute birthday party planned, but he actually really wanted a family party. How could I say no?
Even though it was a really cool party I had planned.

Our very petite Maren is even tinnier, if you can believe, after being so sick. I'm so glad she was feeling better that day!

I gave up on trying to get Kallie to smile for me, much less look at the camera.

It was Brigg's idea to have littlest to biggest by the littlest to biggest penguins.

Afterwards, we got Brigg's favorite food, pizza. We also stopped off at Roxberry for some frozen yogurt and smoothies.

At home, Grandpa and Grandma Stott and uncle Landon came over with a present..... a Bionicle! They also know him well. :)
He had a great day and kept telling me what was going to be happening since he was the boss. :) He also asked to stay up late so we let him. He is such a wonderful, happy and kind boy! He is a people person and I love that about him. He loves learning new things and he is currently in 2 different supplemental school programs: a 3 time Saturday class that explores the world and an 8 week Mad Science course. He also wants to take Karate after seeing the newest Karate Kid.
He is a keeper! I still remember when he was born and how very cute and cuddly he was. I love him so much!!!!
Happy Birthday Brigg! :)
