Fast forward to April Fool's Day!
I actually got a little into April Fools this year. I had a mischevious 6 year old who loves to play pranks. I hammed it up just a smidge (which is lot more than nothing like previous years).
I did the easy mustaches on kids while they are asleep. Brigg barely stirred but Kallie woke up as soon as I touched her. She cried for a bit so I kinda regretted the mustache, but I put it on her anyway, even though she was mostly awake. She didn't even know what was happening. :)
I then got together with 3 of my friends from the BYU Social Work program that I graduated from a lifetime ago. We have stayed in touch and we try to get together once a month for a playgroup. This past year it has been more like once every 4 months because of busy lives and popping out children.
And boy, don't we make cute kids!! These are the 12 kids (minus 2 that were at school) that belong to the 4 moms. Wow! They sure a a cute bunch.
I love getting together with those 3 amazing women. They are so fun, we can be open and honest about life and our triumphs and struggles, and we laugh! It is so fun.
I didn't really have the time or motivation to make a crazy dinner, so I made the eating of it crazy. I made breakfast for dinner and they had to order their food in courses by code. They had no idea what they were getting. This included eating utensils. Everyone actually did pretty well. The craziest was probably Koby getting pancakes, salsa and a knife. Kallie thought it was funny to see daddy eating with a knife. Brigg was late and didn't get to participate in the beginning because he was upstairs moping. He had to clean his room first.
Koby Hates April Fools day with a passion. I once sewed his underware together and messed up his computer once and he was SO mad. I don't like to do pranks on him much, if at all anymore. (Hence the not doing April Fool's Day much in past years) I did a prank on him this year but I was really nice! And it wasn't much of a prank.
And finally, these are my cute girls! I put pig tails in Kallie's hair and Maren held still for me to put little piggies in. So cute! Usually I can only get one poof in her hair during the second she holds still. I love these girls!
