The end of Kindergarten.....for Brigg

The last two weeks of Kindergarten were CRAZY! Wow, I'm glad we survived.
Now I know why they say the last two weeks of school are worthless. Especially in Kindergartenland.
We spent every day with a messed up schedule. One day he would go in the morning instead of the afternoon. The next day he would go for one hour, the next day just for the dance festival, and the next day just for the family 5k. But of course, they could stay and watch a movie until school was over... because that would count as a school day. The next day the would watch another movie because... who knows. It was crazy. And really frustrating. Next year I think we will just go to Disneyland- beat the rush of Utah school kids. :)

One of the things Brigg participated in was the dance festival. The girls wanted to get in on the coyboy spirit:

It was really cute watching him do the chicken dance.

Another day the entire school went swimming! Yeah, the ENTIRE school! All at once, with 75+ kindergarteners!! It was a disaster waiting to happen. I volunteered to help keep an eye on the kids. They needed a parent for every 2 students. It was a madhouse. Brigg had fun.

Snowcapped mountains in the background. It wasn't the warmest of all days to be swimming, but probably one of the warmest days all spring!

We also ran a 5K with the school and as a family. We all, but Maren, got t-shirts. We started out with the girls in the stroller and Brigg and his friend Rose running, but it quickly changed to Brigg and Rose squishing in the stroller and Kallie wanting to run. Needless to say, I ended up walking/running/ carrying Kallie almost the entire 5K. Koby went running ahead with the stroller and of course I could never catch them. It was fun though.

Kindergarten Graduation

Brigg's teacher, Mrs. Babb, had a baby in February and missed almost 3 full months of school but was there for the last month. His full time sub was Mrs. Sherrie Lawrence, who I happened to work with at the Adoption Center of Choice. Small world!

Brigg was so cute and such a social bug.

Brigg loved Kindergarten, his teachers and especially all his friends. I think he will like 1st grade although I'm wondering if I'm really ready for full time school.
Way to go Brigg!
