So I don't have anything to write about. Nothing fun and exciting, nothing I can think of to discuss, nothing worth reading. Kinda boring. I thought I would let you all know that no, I don't even have a baby to write about. Today is my due date though! I never thought I would make it to the due date seeing that I thought I would have a c-section or hoping that she would come a little early since Kanoba came a week early on his own. Did my body forget that I have a little human in there? The aches and pains make me think not but I don't feel any closer to delivering than I did 2 months ago. I had my dr. appointment on Monday with a full ultrasound. I have been measuring smaller than normal and I think I have gained a pound in the last 4 weeks. Don't worry, the ultrasound put her at weighing 8 lbs. :) give or take a pound. I think that is plenty big. I'm hoping for smaller than bigger at this point. I am progressing some in dilation however so that is good and the Dr. "stripped the membranes" but I don't think that did any good. So I get to sit here and write boring blogs and keep cleaning the house because for some reason it keeps getting messy. I figure she will get her someday, right? Hopefully before Christmas. I've already had to repaint my toenails for the hospital stay. If the rest of me is going to look fat and bloated, I might as well have colorful toenails even if it is a bad paint job. It is definitely hard to reach down there. I did finally pack my hospital bag last night. I think I can now say I really am ready.
I guess I will go get my garbage can out of the MIDDLE of the road now. Crazy garbage man. He does it every time- I don't get why he can't go AROUND the street circle and dump our garbage and put it back in the spot he found it like a normal garbage man would do (and used to do!).
Please, if you have any suggestions on something to blog about, questions to ask me, or anything, I am getting desperate. Leave me a comment.

ReplyDeleteIt made me laugh. You can also see various honor code posters at http://sha.byu.edu/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=5227&Itemid=5606
or go to www.dooce.com for a blog on it. That's what I spent the last 2 minutes doing. :)
I'm going to go ahead and guess she's coming on November 30th. Only 2 more days!
Do you have a name picked out!?
You could make a quilt. Oh wait! You already did that! You could paint the baby's room....oh you did that too.
ReplyDeleteI guess you're right....pretty much ready. You could write a book review. Or twiddle your freshly painted toes.
Goodness...when is this niece of mine going to make her grand appearance? We're all dying to know...
You are too funny! I love it! I've just been reading through your blog! I love your quilt. It's gorgeous! Also, we LOVE Ticket To Ride. We just played tonight and don't worry, I lost by 3 points. Dang it!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the waiting game. Have you gone grocery shopping? Or cruised around Target for cute baby girl clothes? Those are my favorite things to do.
Alicia,
ReplyDeleteI hope you are in labor as I write this and that it goes smoothly and quickly. You can always try some natural induction methods. My brother-in-law is a doctor and for their second baby, my sister-in-law drank castor oil one evening and had the baby the next morning by 11:00am. They swear it works. But if it doesn't you get really well cleaned out :-) Food for thought! There are other things you can try too. There is a lot of stuff out there online about it.
