Baby Showers for Mindy!

I threw a baby shower for my wonderful friend Mindy in January. She was due with her second (a girl!!) just a week later. I thought she deserved a baby shower so she could get lots of cute girly things, see all her friends in Utah and invite ward members. She had just found out that they were buying and moving into their first home in our ward! I had originally thought/ hoped that I would have a few helpers but I ended up being the sole hostess. I was a little intimidated at first but I KNOW Heavenly Father blessed me a lot because things just went very smoothly and everything fell into place, which isn't always normal for me. I was able to reserved the RS room at the church so I didn't have to worry about squeezing in a bunch of people into my house or clean it, which was a huge plus. The food turned out great and I did have some help in that area. Marcy, in my ward, was originally going to help me but had a death in the family and wasn't able to make it to the shower. She was SO kind to make half the food (sandwiches and veggie tray) even though she was going out of town. She was a life saver! I think all in all, it was a successful party and Mindy had a great time and got lots of lovely gifts.
