This is a random bit but I think it is worth mentioning. Brigg (and I) made this fun card for a boy's birthday. I didn't have time to run to the store but had time to make little shirt and ties out of dollar and two dollar bills. A spark of creativity!

We were a little partied out and decided to skip the big festivities (besides, New Years day was on a Sunday) so we had our own laid back party at home with fireworks! We partied it up and sent the kids to bed by 9pm.
