Basketball

Brigg was in a summer basketball camp- it was his first time playing basketball. I thought it was awesome and I am encouraging this activity. Brigg is still deciding if he likes it. I had hoped he would pick to do it this fall but he decided to forgo soccer and basketball and take a community Tae Kwon Do class. I'm all for the Tae Kwon Do however I don't like the price tag. So right now we aren't doing any after school classes since the community class ended. It seems like it is so crazy after school and there is no time for anything so we are taking it easy right now. :) Brigg would like to take swim lessons again so maybe we will think about it after the holidays. We even got a basketball hoop and a basketball and he has fun playing with his dad sometimes but we really need a big concrete area. He had fun at this basketball camp though.

Brigg and his friend Britton. Quick story that I think is so cool. Britton was adopted through the agency I worked with. I was his birthmom's caseworker and got to know her very well since she was with us for about 5 months. I went to meetings with the birthmom and the adopted family who live in our stake. We see the family a lot time since they have kids the same age and in the same programs and live close by. Britton was in Brigg's kindergarten class but then he went to another school so they don't see each other. Anyhow, I was at Britton's birth and did the adoption and everything. Pretty cool. It is fun seeing him grow up and knowing a bunch about his mom that even his adoptive parents don't even know... things they probably don't want to know. :)
