Well, it has been a long time since I posted anything. I haven't felt like there has been anything to post about. I think I have been going through the hormonal baby blues recently and I have felt pretty negative about things. The sleep deprivation has not helped. Life hasn't been bad or particularly hard but I can definitely tell my body is trying to recuperate from having a little human inside it and all that comes with that. Anyhow, so in order to not depress you from a boring post, I will humor you with a few things I have done in my sleep deprivation fog and then I will humor you with another dohicky called 5 Things. I was tagged forever ago by Marjorie but never got around to doing it.
Proof that I have mega mom-brain or am very sleep deprived or both:
1. I can't even think of the words needed to write this post. I often cannot think of what I am trying to say. My words make no sense, no sense, you hear!
2. Driving down the middle turn lane for 3 blocks before realizing my driving madness. Thank goodness it was a back road that does not see a lot of traffic. Yes, this is a road I drive often and I should have known better.
3. Purchasing a book online, looking at my bookcase to find a different book, then seeing that recently purchased book title already in my collection. I had just purchased that same book just months ago and completely forgot doing so. I still don't remember buying that book.
4. Forgetting everything that happened during the night- feeding the baby, how many times she woke up, did I take my contacts out? etc. Waking up and pushing Koby away because I think he is on the baby when the baby isn't even in the bed. It is all a blur.
5. Forgetting appointments. Forgetting to shower. Forgetting to brush my teeth (and I can't stand not brushing my teeth). Forgetting what I am doing. Forgetting to ... finish my sentenc
6. Fill in the blank.
And now, 5 things...
A. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.
B. Each player answers the questions about themselves.
C. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

5 Jobs I’ve had
1. Book Shelver at the Harold B. Lee Library, BYU. Loved it!! Had so much fun working with everyone there, wink wink.
2. Social worker at an adoption agency. Worked with the birthmothers and loved it! Those women who place their babies for adoption are amazing. Loved the job but very hard.
3. Employee at a copy center. Also loved this job. Did this during high school senior year.
4. Various telemarketing jobs. Not so fun. Didn't like the job but paid better than many other jobs.
5. Server at Los Hermanos. The job got better the longer you were there- you got better tips as you moved up in the ranks and table location. Unfortunately I only did this for a summer so I was just starting to make money when I left.
5 Things people probably don’t know about me
1. I was born at my grandma's house-planned.
2. I was homeschooled for grades 2, half of 3, 6, half 7 and private school for 8th. Rest of the time was public school.
3. I got this hint from Marjorie- I too am annal/ OCD about turning off lights, closing the fridge door, turning off running water when not in use, and keeping doors to the outside shut. These are pet peeves and unfortunately children and my husband are not good at doing any of them. :)
4. I had never visited a doctor until college.
5. I married my high school sweetheart. Never thought I would be one of "those" kind of people. Whatever "those" kind of people are.

Hahahahahaha. You should blog one time in the middle of the night. I don't even care if it's real words. That would be hilarious.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry that things aren't looking up. Alternate idea to that posted above - blog all of your pet-peeves and/or frustrations. Maybe it will help? If not, I'll get a kick out of it anyways.
I dreamt about us serving at Los Hermanos the other night. And there were no Diablo Verde's and people were SO ANGRY. I woke up all flustrated. Yes, I made that word up. I think I've heard other people use it, though.
I enjoyed reading your lists. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear about the baby blues. It's NOT a fun time! It may not make you feel better, but so many women go through it. I had a really tough time with our first child. I think it's mostly the sleep deprivation that gets to us.
Hang in there! I'm sure that you're an awesome mother, and that things will improve.
And I agree with Liz. I'd be happy to read all about your disatisfactions and down moments if getting things out of your head and onto 'paper' will help. Do whatever you need!
Hope you'll be feeling better soon! :) ***HUGS***
