Reminder

A quote I put on my mirror:

In a Latter-day Saint home, children are

not simply tolerated, but welcomed;

not commanded, but encouraged;

not driven, but guided;

not neglected, but loved.

-Thomas S. Monson

  1. Love it! I need to put that on my mirror. Particularly the "not commanded, but encouraged" made me think.

  2. I think you're going to be finding that on alot more of your friends mirrors.

    I guess that's why we have prophets! they are so profound!

  3. Yes, the not commanded, but encouraged is what I heard most out of it too- that was the only thing I remembered (from a R.S. stake conference) and I went home and looked it up.

    It is a good quote, one I need to implement more. I always feel like a drill Sargent. Kinda comes with the age group, but still. I can always do more welcoming, encouraging, guiding and loving. :)
