I came home and the lady I visit teach brought me this delicious chocolaty, piece of heaven monstrosity:
Triple Chocolate Cake
Irene Doughtery is the cutest, nicest older lady! I love her! She came over with her cute husband (the stake patriarch who is so funny and nice), loaded my arms with this homemade cake (that she is famous for), gave me a card and a gift, and a hug. She always tells me she loves me (like it is common for people to throw out that endearment. Which I think should be used more often, but isn't in this day and age) and she just talks my ear off. I love visiting her and she is always sending me off with bags of goodies for my kids and Koby. She says I am her favorite "young" person in church but I know she says that to everyone- she just makes everyone feel special. I think I will adopt her as my grandma since I don't have any of those living other than a step-grandma who doesn't live close by. She is amazing and I hope I can become even closer friends with her. Hello, look at the benefits!
Happy Birthday! It sounds like you had a great day. That cake looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! It's my dad's birthday today. why not make more of a big deal about adult birthdays i think we should have parties too. Eric thinks that you would like to have a princess cake. Of course i think you would probly enjoy that double chocolate one a little better. I used to have a cute adopted grandparents in our previous ward. they are so fun! they spoil my kids and make us feel so loved they are the best!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! How fun. What a sweet lady. I agree that the edearment of love could be used more these days. I am glad you had a good one. :)
