Brigg the missionary

Alright, here is my funny story. Some have heard it but I thought I would get it down for history purposes and so I can use it for persuasion purposes later on Brigg.

On May 16th, we had FHE. It was very unorganized and so Koby came up with a lesson on the spot (happens a lot around here). Of course Koby can always make good lessons, I on the other hand have to actually have time to prepare. Anyhow, Koby did a lesson on Ammon and King Lamoni. He and the kids acted out Ammon chopping off the Lamanite arms and all. The kids really liked it. Brigg was bummed because he wanted to do the lesson so we told him he could do a quick lesson as well.

He told us that we were going to "go preach the gospel to all the neighbors, sing them a song and do service for them like mow their lawn."
Uh.... what? We tried to talk him into just taking cookies to the neighbors. "No! Get your shoes on, I will be outside waiting".
What could we do? We didn't want to shut down his enthusiastic missionary efforts. We were flabbergasted but we got on our shoes. He was waiting with a bag. He told me what to write on a note and he glued a fruit roll up onto it.
We talked Brigg into going to an almost 40, single lady's house since we knew she would "understand". He recruited a friend that was outside playing. We all tromped over and he knocked on the door. She was on the phone so he had to patiently wait which was hard for him. When she could talk to us, he pulled out a picture from The Friend and said, "Look at this picture." I tried to explain that we were doing FHE. She invited us in and he pulled out a notebook with a church song. He told us all to sing it. We had never heard of the song so he picked "Book of Mormon Stories", his current favorite song. We all sang, including poor Colleen. He then gave her the note. I asked him if he had anything else to say and he said, "You're Welcome!". We were dying laughing. Koby and I were trying to hold back the guffaws the entire time but it all came out. We wished Colleen a good evening, she told us to come anytime, and we left. We were able to avoid going to the other neighbors' houses although I wonder what our Catholic neighbors next door would think. :)
Brigg is a fearless missionary! Taught his mom and dad a lesson or two!
