Just read this off a blog from a St. George race report. She had just ran the Top of Utah Marathon 2 weeks earlier and decided to quit at mile 13 of St. George because she felt terrible. I saw all those shuttles and ambulances going down to the start but I didn't know that there were that many people having problems. This is what she said... hello, crazy!
"We got into the shuttle, it was packed with runners, we were sitting on each others laps. As we drove down the course super slow with runners all over the road, runners would hit on the window of the car begging us for a ride, it felt like some end of the world movie, it was pretty freaky. The shuttle driver said that there was not enough ambulances to pick up all the runners with hypothermia."
I guess this was the second time time in the 32 year history that is has rained during the marathon. Ok, I will stop talking about the marathon..... maybe. :) Next up, a book review.
