I had a big old post I had formed in my head about what has been going on around here and other topics, but I have to go to bed. I will have to do that post next week. Until then, we are headed out tomorrow morning for St. George! The countdown on the St. George Marathon website says 1 day, 8 hours and 54 minutes! As the day has gone by and I have been packing up for our trip, I have been getting increasingly more excited. I can't wait to run this race! I got a kind of steroid shot in my knee yesterday to help me (hopefully) run the race as nearly pain free as possible. I am encouraged as I haven't felt the slight nagging pain I have had for the past few weeks at all today. Wahoo!
My parents, brother and sister are all making the trek to come cheer us on. I am grateful for their sacrifice (hello gas prices! and hotel) to watch our kids and be at the finish line for the few minutes of glory.
They say that you cross the finish line of a marathon a different person. I am excited to see if this saying is true. Have a great weekend and I will report soon!
