Last Wednesday was free day at the zoo so a friend and I packed up our kids and headed there for a day "out of the house". It was quite the accomplishment just getting there, but once we did, we had a great time! It was really warm for a February day- somewhere in the low 50's or upper 40's I think. Here are some pictures from our outing.

Brigg, Isabelle, Mica and
Kallie. Brigg and Isabelle are a year apart and Mica and
Kallie are 3 days apart.

My friend Koren and I have been through the "trenches" together-
BYU social work program and then working at The Adoption Center through our internship and then as employees for several years. Now we are going through the
trenches of motherhood together! It is so great to have a friend who has shared so many eras of my life with. :)

Kallie was obsessed with the
carousel. I finally shelled out the money for it so the free day at the zoo wasn't free anymore. It was well worth hearing her belly giggle and excitement as the ride started!

Brigg on his frog. You can tell he hated the ride as well. He was laughing like crazy too.

The huge gorilla.

This elephant was slowly
dismantling the gate.

Someday Brigg's arms will be
ape-ish like his dad's. :)

The whole group in front of the singing elephant.
brig and kali look esthatic to be there (first picture) that's adorable! ; ) we took jacob and olivia in the fall. it was good times! where do you get all these free day info from? we took my kids and a friend to the draper temple open house we both have three kids iand i was baby sitting one. that wa a ZOO! : )
ReplyDeleteI don't know how all the other people found out about it, but I saw it on a website and I think I even heard one little add on the radio? I then called the zoo and they verified. I think the zoo does this every year during the winter months- last Wed. of every month. Feb. was the last month.
