A few of my favorite things...today

I have been drooling over a few swimsuits at Shade clothing. I have been wanting a really cute swimsuit for years.... alas this year, when I found a few I think are really cute, I will be wearing my whale-ish maternity swimsuit. Hopefully next year....

This little girl is 15 months old, so that meant a trip to the doctors today!
Here are the stats:
Head: 65th percentile
Weight: teeny tiny 20 lbs., 11th percentile
Height: 31.25 in. or 76th percentile
She is a cute, tiny girl but so full of energy!

My crazy, naked boy. He has a robe tie stuffed in his underwear and coming out the back as a tail. He was trying to be a character from Bakugan.

A picture of my belly speed bump. This is me at 18 weeks. It doesn't look as gigantic as I feel. I look down and it seems big for 18 weeks. In other news, Koby felt the baby kick a few nights ago! I love that! I will find out Friday when my ultrasound will be.

I'm so excited for this one. I heard about peach trees at Costco from my mom. I went a few days ago but they were wiped out. I heard they were getting in a new shipment this morning, so I went and took half of their stock! Ha ha. I bought 9 trees total- some for my brother and fam, some for my parents, and 4 for me (2 pear, 2 peach). I didn't even break the bank at $10.79 a tree. The really cool thing about this pear tree is that it is 3 kinds of pear trees in 1! Did any of you know these existed? They have apple and cherry trees like this as well. Here is the tag:

"Three or more pear varieties (mine has d'anjou, bartlett and comice) grafted onto one tree. Enjoy pears throughout the season, with varieties ripening at different times. A pear orchard that takes up very little space."

I'm so excited!

Produce galore. I think I went a little nuts today. Sunflower Market opened up a couple months ago and they are awesome! Amazing produce prices. I got mangos 3/$1, kiwis 5/$1, grapes $.89 a lb., and strawberries, $.99 a lb. Did I mention I joined a produce co-op a few months ago? I get a box of produce tomorrow. I think we will be eating a ton of fruits and veggies in the next week.

These will be for eating, strawberry ice cream, and jam. Mmmmm.

This blog I recently discovered thanks to my friend Julie. I knew I would like it when I saw several of my favorite recipes already on it, like the chicken tikka masala and naan recipe, cafe rio recipe, etc. I linked you to the Honey Lime Enchilada recipe I made last night. Let's just say Koby said I could definitely make them again and that he really like them- without me first asking his opinion. That means it is really good. Just a note, I halved the cream.

I'm really into I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith. I am loving it so far. I can barely put it down at night. I want to see the movie... but it is R for some female nudity. I think I know where that would come in since the step mother likes to be one with nature. No sex scenes. I'll have to think about it.

And last but not least, this is worth mentioning. After the crazy day running around with 2 kids, I came home and Koby had cleaned house. Last weekend he scrubbed the bathroom from ceiling to floor. Ewww! I hate that job, but he does it cuz he loves me. I'm a lucky woman.

  1. Wow lots of food. That is awesome that you guys are so healthy. You barely have a bump....you are not huge. :)

That is awsome about Colby. I love it when Dave does things like that for me. Sometimes I feel I don't deserve him.

  2. I love the blue swim suit, and since i'm not a whale this summer for the first time in my married life... maybe i'll invest : ) I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the sunflower market. they really do have tons of great deals! when i was preg with mackenzie we discovered it and we ate tons of fresh fruit! now i find it incredibly annoying to trapes over there with three kids because my two oldest have to be loose or they will squish everything in the cart! i guess i could just tote two carts through the store but then i would just look rediculous : ) LOL - i'm sure you are looking forward to that third baby! they really are soo fun! by the way your tummy is so cute, i'm jelous!

  4. I love Sunflower Market too. Is that where you found strawberries on sale?

I also LOVE the book I Capture the Castle. I read it last summer, when I had A LOT of time to read. Loved it.

Callie is looking super cute in that photo.
